Attention Scouts! A visit to the museum can help you fill requirements for your achievements, try-its, or badges. Below is a list of some of the potential opportunities.

Tiger Cub Scouts:
Achievement: Making My Family Special
Requirement: Go to a library, historical society, museum, old farm, or historical building, or visit an older person in your community. Discover how family life was the same and how it was different many years ago.

Wolf Cub Scouts:
Achievement: Know Your Home and Community
Requirement: Visit an important place in your community, such as a historic or government location. Explain why it is important.

Bear Cub Scouts:
Achievement: The Past is Exciting and Important
Requirement: Find out some history about your community.

Brownie Girl Scouts:
Try-It: Listening to the Past
Requirement: If These Building Could Talk: With an adult, visit the historic buildings, monuments, and sites in your neighborhood or in the nearest city. Learn an interesting story or fact about each.

Junior Girl Scouts:
Badge: Local Lore
Requirement: Take a Trip: Visit a local museum, historical, society, library, or town hall to learn more about the history of your own city or town. What new things did you learn today?
