Walking tour of the Paoli Battlefield in Malvern PA

Come out and learn about the 9th bloodiest battle during the Revolutionary War.  This battle took place after the Battle of Brandywine on the night of September 20,1777 and featured General Anthony Waynes 2,100 troops, 2, 200 Maryland Militia led by General William Smallwood, and 2,000 British troops led by General Charles Grey.

The tour is 2 hours long and will run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.  If you are a Sanderson Museum member, you tour is free, if you are not, you can still join in with a donation of $20 per person.

Come out walk the hallowed ground of the Paoli Battlefield in Malvern, PA  (Weather Permitting).  Learn what happened here on the night of September 20, 1777 that led to this battle being called the “Paoli Massacre”.  Answers to your many questions await you on this walking tour of the battlefield.

The tours run from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and will start at the Malvern Arts Building, right across from the street from the Malvern Borough Building at 146 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA 19355.

We do have one Porta John at the Paoli Battlefield and one at the park across the street from the borough building that people can use. Please bring a fold up chair or stool if you’d like to have one during this tour.  We will have bottles of water available, but only at the start and end of the tour.  Make sure you wear appropriate footwear for walking around the battlefield, and trails in the woods.  We will start at 1:30pm.  If there are two or more people coming in your party, you can park one car at the battlefield, but everyone needs to met at the Parking lot at Malvern Arts, 146 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA 19355.

We will have books, hats, and tee shirts for purchase at the parking lot.  We do take Cash, or Credit/Debit cards.  Each purchase is a donation to the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund.

You will be given a tour booklet when you arrive.

An email will be sent to you confirming your registration and what date and time you need to arrive about 1-3 days before the event.

For any no shows:  Your $20 will be donated to the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund and will not be refunded.  We will reschedule the tour if it is raining for the tour.
